The Drake Family Quilt

Shared with HUH on January 8, 2009 by Sara Spear

HUH members were amazed at the design, beauty and workmanship
of the Drake Family Quilt.

This owl is just a little of the detail of the work
done on the quilt by Emma Catherine Drake from Lexington, Kentucky.
Most of the work on the quilt was done in the 1880's.
A lot of the images on the quilt represent
life in Florida.
Sara Spear the great-granddaughter of Emma Drake
is talking with HUH Groups members and parents.
